11/01/2021: Here you can see how I start in the morning. Some cereals with Orange Juice from Florida π really great start
Today at the Model UN meeting we rehearsed on how to defend our speech and our position. This conference will be so awesome π€©

11/02/21: Let’s go to the Donut Kingdom, that’s what i did this evening π© i had a double chocolate one. Really sweet and yummy. The rest of the day i was chatting with a german friend and Gaming a bit. But also doing my homeworks π€

11/03/21: I am looking forward to the international education week at my college in two weeks. I am a flag ambassador and will represent Germany at the Passport around the world event. This stamp will i use to stamp the „passports“ of the participating students π©πͺ this will be fun

11/04/21: Here you see a school-bus full of children. As soon as the bus stops some red lights on the bus will blink and the cars behind and from the other direction need to stop. That’s pretty good, so then the kids can cross the road, because on the side where the bus stopped there is no walkway. I’ve seen this today for the first time while I was on the walk with Piper, the hotdawg πππΆ
11/05/21: I’m now at the national Model United Nations conference in Washington D.C. with my club from TCC. My hostdad drove me to the Airport early in the morning and then we departured from Tallahassee. We are staying now in a really big hotel in Crystal City and the conference is here in the hotel, which is pretty good, so no long walks or drives.
This time we are representing Ukraine, I’m in the Third General Assembly and we are discussing the topics of „Eliminating of human Trafficking“ and „The Right to Privacy in the Digital Age“. It’s soo much fun talking to so many people in the committee. There are roughly 140 people alone in my committee, and there are 8 Committees in total at this conference βΊοΈ
11/06/21: Another long but so productive day passed by at the conference today here in DC. We worked really close together to get our resolution drafts done for today on the topic of „Eliminating Human Trafficking“. During the brakes my team and I went to a close by restaurant to eat and we explored a bit of the streets around the hotel. Tomorrow we’ll make it to the Capital Hill hopefully π
11/07/21: We ended the conference weekend with some real good pizza and our team got the honorable delegation award at the National Model UN Conference. In the evening we went to Capital Hill to visit the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. We also saw several war memorials of historical wars. This conference was such a great successes and so much fun with all the other delegates π
11/08/21: Today i visited the Arlington Cemetery and saw different graves and memorials of important figures of US history. I also witnessed the changing of the guards at the grave of the Unknown Soldier. After that I went to the Washington Monument and drove up to 500feet to look down on the city of Washington DC. What a breathtaking view from up there π
To round up the day I went to the Capitol Building before we headed home to Tallahassee again

11/09/21: This is the capital building of Tallahassee. I drove by there on my way back from College. It’s always so beautiful to look at it. The rest of my day was doing homeworks and writing lab reports for my Biology lab lectures π¬

11/10/21: Here you see the queen of the house. Her graceful play light up my days π everything in this house revolves around this dog. I envy her lifestyle π
Today i didn’t had any college, because one of my teacher canceled class 10 minutes before its start. This was right in the 20min drive I have everyday to college. So I arrived at college, checked my mails, read that there is no class and drove again home. Thanks for nothing ππ€¦ββοΈ
11/11/21: Let’s go on a road trip with my hostdad. We went to Columbus in Georgia, where we met with his brother and his nephew. We spend a nice evening together and walked around the beautiful town of Columbus. We saw the wild waters and the really nice and old houses from the 18-19th century
11/12/21: Columbus, Georgia is a really beautiful city. Seeing the leaves of the trees change color is so nice. Back in Tallahassee, that’s pretty rare, because all trees stay green. Walking down the streets with all the old houses from the mid 19th century is a really good thing to do. After that we went for some Wildwater rafting. That was awesome π we ended the day in a typical American Fastfood restaurant π΄
11/13/21: One of the ice-cream places here in Columbus is pretty awesome. You could go for different flavors and top it with fruits and other sweets. Today we did q lot of different things. First we did some zip lining oder the state border from Georgia to Alabama and back. Then we went to a Civil War Naval Museum and ended the day with a classical concert of Beethoven and Schubert πΆ

11/14/21: On the way home, back to Tallahassee, we stopped at a local dining and barbecue place. I had the „Redneck Nachos“ (as the restaurant called this plate). The pulled pork was really delicious π
We also stopped at the river to look at the border of Georgia and Alabama π
11/15/21: Today was the opening ceremony of the International Education Week here at TCC. I made a speech in front of other international students and promoted the CBYX program. I’m really excited about the events of this week.
At the orchestra we are now practicing Christmas music. Only that the nature around here looks still like fall in the middle of November π
11/16/21: Had a long day of school that ended with the World Trivia Night with the International Education Week. Also the nature around here looks more like fall. Not that green anymore but still beautiful π
11/17/21: Today was the Hunger Banquet at TCC. Drawing a card decided what class of income I was. I got to be in the class of low income and had a small back of chips and „dirty water“ as lunch. An interesting experience to show how the fait of people can differ from country to country. The international Education Week will continue the next two days, what makes me really excited π

11/18/21: 100 days ago I came here to the USA πΊπΈ
How the time flies, as we would say in Germany π
Today I represented Germany at our „Passport to the World“ Event. Students came and asked me several different questions at my presentation table. I really enjoyed this event and I’m glad for all the interesting questions i heard today

11/19/21: The „International Coffee Hour“ was the final event from the International Education Week. It was nice being on the big campus of FSU and getting connected to other international students. The Chai tea was also really tasty π
The rest of the day was just writing a Biology paper and setting up a COVID-19 Infographic for my Bio Lab lecture. Let’s see how this will work out
11/20/21: Today i showed my hostmum and hostsister how to do geocaching. We did find 3 out of 4 Geocaches in this park area π and we also took the sweet dog with us, maybe you can spot her on the pictures
11/21/21: There is this chain of parks in Tallahassee, where you can walk through. It’s pretty beautiful around here, still green trees and blooming bushes. The scent of the bloom was really great and i enjoyed sitting there and just chill. Also I took this nice picture of my car. I really loved the light during this photo, so I’m sharing it with you βΊοΈ
I also wonder why someone would want to eat red pistachios. They do not look really healthy in this color π
just american holiday things

11/22/21: The Model UN Club had a small secret Santa today. And we ate a lot of pizza and pie together π I’m really grateful for the experience I got with this amazing group of people βΊοΈ

11/23/21: Take a wild but educated guess in what room I am living π that’s my host families house in November. Still about 20Β°C around here, I am walking around with a Tshirt and people are already buying Christmas trees. It does not really feel like Christmas or the end of the year yet π

11/24/21: As i forgot to upload a picture yesterday there are two for today. We are preparing for Thanksgiving right now. We bought some turkey and all the other food. And then I am excited to see how my host family will celebrate Thanksgiving this year. That’s a great experience, to see the American traditions so close. I’m really grateful for this opportunity π
11/25/21: Happy Thanksgiving ππ¦ππ
Me and my host family had some great food today. Went from Mac’n Cheese to Turkey (of course), beans, salad, mashed potatoes to baked rolls and Sweet potato Casserole with Marshmallows π
Now the dogs see me rollin‘ through the house and they are hatin‘ because they didn’t get any of the delicious food π

11/26/21: After i went for some Black Friday Shopping, my hostmum and hostsister and me went on to seak some Geocaches. I’m showing them how to do it in a proper way and we where pretty successful today. We found 7 out of 8. Pretty good start if you ask me π
11/27/21: Today i stopped by at this really nice Country store. I got a tasty bratwurst there and some other stuff to eat. I really enjoyed the local food and the historical atmosphere in there. The rest of the day i spent walking through the woods and driving around Tallahassee. More and more people are getting their Christmas decorations out, I’ll show some of them soon π
11/28/21: Driving through a beautiful decorated park here close to my neighborhood in Tallahassee. This brings up a bit of Christmas feeling already π my host family is planning on getting their Christmas tree this weekend. I’m looking forward to this and the decorations we will put up π
11/29/21: Yesterday i drove to Target and Walmart to check out Cardgames that are maybe on Cyber Monday Sale. So much different funny games π i would buy all of them just to play them π²
11/30/21: Look at this precious dog πΆ that’s what i basically did today. Watching after her, after I came home from college. I did homework and she joined me and took a nap in my room. I’ll miss her when I get back to Germany πͺ but right now I’m enjoying my time here with her and my host family
