Dank seinem Jetlag und meiner M\u00fcdigkeit haben wir an diesem Abend nichts mehr gemacht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">te Punkt auf unserer To-Do-Liste war das Skydeck. Es ist ein Aussichtspunkt an der Spitze des Willis Towers. Wir betrachteten die Stadt aus einer H\u00f6he von 1,450 feet\/ 442 Metern. Beim ersten Mal in Chicago waren wir auf dem Hancock Tower. Meiner Ansicht nach war das Skydeck interessanter, da man zus\u00e4tzlich zum Ausblick auch eine kleine Museumstour bekommt. Durch dieses Museum bekamen wir Einblicke in die Stadt, was f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten Tage sehr hilfreich war.Nach einem kurzen Lunch bei Shake Shack, haben wir uns auf den Weg zum \u201eBean\u201c gemacht. Nachdem wir auch den Rest der Chicagoer Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten gesehen haben, machten wir uns auf den Weg zum NBA Basketballspiel. Wir sahen das unglaublich spannende Spiel der LA Lakers gegen Chicago Bulls. Dank etlichen vermasselten Freiw\u00fcrfen haben die Bulls letztendlich mit 115 zu 110 gesiegt. Ein lokales Restaurant versprach einen gratis Chicago Hotdog f\u00fcr jeden im Stadium, wenn ein Spieler der Lakers beide seiner Freiw\u00fcrfe verfehlt. Durch die Basketball Legende LeBron James bekamen dann alle einen Hotdog aufs Haus. In solch einem Chicago Style Hotdog sind zum Beispiel Essiggurken, Pepperonis, Zwiebeln, Tomaten, und so weiter. So wie ihr mich kennt war es im Endeffekt eh nur das Brot, W\u00fcrstchen und Ketchup.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div ausgiebigen Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck, trafen wir uns mit einigen weiteren Programmteilnehmern im Millennium Park. Zusammen waren wir auf einem \u201eGerman Christkindmarket\u201c, welcher sogar Gl\u00fchwein und deutsches Bier verkaufte. Danach machten wir uns auf den Weg zum n\u00e4chsten Sportevent. Glaubt mir, dass ist nicht das letzte. An diesem Abend spielten die Minnesota Vikings gegen die Chicago Bears. Als wir auf den Zug warteten, betrachteten wir die wundersch\u00f6ne Union Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>St. Louis 22.12-26.12.2021<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Am ersten Tag haben wir nicht all zu viel unternommen, da wir mal wieder m\u00fcde waren und Stef erstmal meine Gastfamilie kennenlernen sollte. Abends waren wir aber alle gemeinsam bei Weihnachtslichtern und danach in einer Eisdiele. Naja, zumindest in Deutschland.\u00a0Bei stolzen 20 Grad Celsius schlenderten wir einige Stunden durch den Zoo und sahen uns danach die Basilika an. Nachdem ausgiebigen Abendessen, dem Aufh\u00e4ngen der Stockings und der Vorbereitung des Santatellers machten wir uns auf den Weg zur Kirche. Meine 14-j\u00e4hrige Gastschwester sang dort ein Solo. Als wir heim kamen war es 12 Uhr nachts. Das ist eine kleine Stadt etwa eine Stunde s\u00fcdwestlich von St. Louis. Dort erkundeten wir die Stadt, a\u00dfen zu Mittag und fuhren auch schon wieder Heim. Leider waren die meisten Gesch\u00e4fte und Restaurants aufgrund der Weihnachtsfeiertage geschlossen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>Lake of the Ozarks &#8211; 27.12-29.12.2021<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Im Ferienhaus von Freunden beim Lake of the Ozarks verbrachten wir die n\u00e4chsten 2 N\u00e4chte. Nach der 3 st\u00fcndigen Autofahrt, ruderten wir mit Kajak\u00b4s durch den See, a\u00dfen zu Abend, machten ein Lagerfeuer und spielten Brettspiele. Das \u201eHa Ha Tonka Castle\u201c und Branson sahen wir uns am Tag darauf an. Das Schloss wurde in den 1920ern von einem reichen Mann erbaut. Kurz nach dem Beginn der Bauarbeiten seines Traumschlosses starb er durch einen Autounfall. Dort probierten wir den angeblich besten Burger der Welt. Ich hab definitiv schon bessere Burger gegessen, Stef fand seinen aber sehr lecker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em><strong>Nashville &#8211; 30.12.-31.12.2021<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Den n\u00e4chsten Tag verbrachten wir, wie auch sonst, im Auto, in Richtung Nashville. Dort verbrachten wir Silvester. Nashville ist die \u201eCity of Music\u201c, weshalb es eine Stra\u00dfe mit etlichen, aneinandergereihten Bars gibt. In jeder Bar spielen rund um die Uhr Livebands.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Au\u00dferdem sind spicy Chickenwings ein typisches Nashville Style Essen. class=\"has-text-align-center\">Happy New Year y\u00b4all!<br>Der Flieger nach Philadelphia, ist am Morgen des 01.01. um 7:36 Uhr abgeflogen, weshalb wir nicht all zu viel Schlaf bekamen. In Philly checkten wir den Love Park, die City Hall, die Independence Hall, die Liberty Bell, als auch die Elfreth\u00b4s Ally aus. Zum Schluss probierten wir noch das, f\u00fcr die Stadt ber\u00fchmte, Philly Cheese Steak aus. Die zwei ber\u00fchmtesten Restaurants sind auf der selben Stra\u00dfe genau gegen\u00fcber platziert. Wir probierten das Steak bei Geno\u00b4s, welches sehr gut war. Dort war, was auch sonst, das n\u00e4chste Sport Event. Die New York Jets spielten gegen die Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Leider verloren sie ganz knapp. Das Spiel war um etwa 17 Uhr vorbei, weshalb wir an diesem Abend nur noch \u00fcber den Times Square geschlendert sind und \u00fcberteuertes Fast Food gegessen haben. ging es f\u00fcr uns zum One World Trade Center. Dort verbrachten wir drei Stunden im 9\/11 Museum, begutachteten das Memorial und begaben uns dann auf die Insel der Freiheitsstatue\u00a0welche\u00a0ganz in der N\u00e4he war. Dort waren wir nur ganz kurz, da es sehr kalt und windig war. Im Anschluss liefen wir entlang der Wall Street, worauf die B\u00f6rse liegt. Vor dem NBA-Spiel was f\u00fcr diesen Abend geplant war, schlenderten wir durch Chinatown, Little Italy und a\u00dfen Grimaldi\u00b4s Pizza. Dort war au\u00dferdem der Vessel, eine gro\u00dfe Treppe in Form einer Vase, als auch die High Line, eine alte S-Bahn Strecke, platziert. Nachdem wir diese Gegend ausgecheckt hatten, fuhren wir zum Central Park und spazierten auch dort noch entlang. Wir legten einige Stops bei Geb\u00e4uden von Gossip Girl ein. Als wir auch damit fertig waren, gab es f\u00fcr Stef und mich das weltbeste Pastrami Sandwich von Katz\u00b4s Delikatessen. Es war sehr lecker! Auch an diesem Abend waren wir noch einmal auf einem NBA &#8211; Spiel, dieses mal aber im Madison Square Garden.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped letzten vollst\u00e4ndigen Tag verbrachten wir anfangs im Spyspace Museum,\u00a0dann auf dem Empire State Building und zum Schluss auf der Brooklyn Bridge. Im Spyspace Museum musste man einige R\u00e4tsel l\u00f6sen und\u00a0w\u00e4hrenddessen konnte man \u00fcber das Leben von Spionen lesen. Das Empire State Building haben wir uns nach der D\u00e4mmerung angeschaut, der Ausblick auf die Stadt war unglaublich. Dort verabschiedete ich mich von Stefan und machte mich wieder auf den Weg zum Flughafen in New Jersey, von welchem ich heim flog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">In diesen zweieinhalb Wochen sind wir \u00fcber 1,300 Meilen (2,000+ Kilometer) Auto\/ Zug\u00a0gefahren und etwa 600 Meilen geflogen.
