Gleichzeitig ist Cranberry Glades eine Art Waldtundra (https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Waldtundra). Eigentlich ist so eine Art Vegetation in Kanada oder auch Nordskandinavien vorbehalten, durch die Location in den Appalachen, konnte dies seit der letzten Eiszeit knappe 12000 Jahre \u00fcberleben. Und zum Namen: Surprise! Auf dem Weg dorthin in den Serpentinen West Virginias hat mein Getriebe dann den Geist aufgegeben und wollte nicht mehr in Vorw\u00e4rtsg\u00e4nge schalten. R\u00fcckw\u00e4rts ging noch, aber nach vorne wollte sich nichts tun. Also AAA anrufen (sowas wie ADAC). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABER: Es gab kein Netz! In einigen l\u00e4ndlicheren Gegenden West Virginias ist Handynetz ein Fremdwort. Theo ist den Rest des Berges raufgelaufen (wir. waren ungelogen 500m vom Gipfel entfernt) und hat dort ein extrem nettes P\u00e4rchen getroffen, welches direkt angeboten hat uns &#8222;in die Zivilisation&#8220;zu fahren. Das waren auch nur ganz entspannte 17 Meilen (um die 25 Kilometer), bis wir halbwegs annehmbares Netz hatten.
